Carlson, Bertha  (05 MAR 1941-04 MAR 2003)

 

Bertha A. "Bert" Carlson, 62, Marshfield, died on Sunday, May 4, 2003, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield. The Rev. Charles Stoetzel officiated. Music was provided by Suzanne Golden, organist, and the St. John’s funeral choir. Burial was in Arpin Cemetery. Brothers-in-law served as pallbearers.

 

Bertha Carlson was born on March 5, 1941, in Arpin, to John and Monica (nee Mayer) Carlson. She graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1959. After her education, she worked for Adler Bakery, Marshfield. She then worked for 38 years as  a surgical technician at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, until her retirement.

 

Survivors include 15 siblings, Lillian (Roman) Bredl, Nekoosa, John (Judith) Carlson, Arpin, James Carlson, Pittsville, Edward (Lois) Carlson, Marshfield, Ronald (Kathie) Carlson, Pitsville, Shirley (William) Tobin, Marshfield, Kathleen (Michael) Feier, Marshfield, Robert (Rosie) Carlson, Arpin, David (Susan) Carlson, Marshfield, Gary (Kathy), Auburndale, Caroine (Kenneth) Wunrow, Marshfield, Bonnie (Lyle) Ress, Marshfield, Jenny (Pat) Halpin, Greenwood, Tammy Arnold, Spencer, and Scott Carlson, Stratford; 38 nieces and nephews; and 36 great-nieces and great-nephews.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents.

 

Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, assisted the family with arrangements.
